Also, they hold on $1500 as security deposit! I understand that most cabin do have about $200 deposit policy but holding on $1500 for about three months is way too much. If you don't have a strong car it could be hard and dangerous to climb up there, especially in reainy times or snow. Another reason is that, the road to the cabin is too steep. It is not safe and I definitely do not recommned to up there if have small children. The attic (as claimed a bedroom) was not privete becasue there was no door and so was dangerous becasue my 2 years old boy almost fall down through the stairs. The main reason I did not like the cabin was because it was a two bedrooms cabin whereas they claimed that it was a three bedroom and rented to us as such. The view is beautiful in fall especially at the end of October or first week of November. As a total of 6 adults and two children, we stayed at Deja View cabin #47 for a total of two days during Fall 2016. I have been going to the Smokies almost in every fall since 2010. Have already booked next year's cabin at Brothers Cove.won't be Hooks Haven #2. Hooks Haven #2 was less rustic and more rundown, and we faced the following conditions: drainage pipe under the sink were not connected (yes, there was a gap for the water to drain under the sink) the upstairs Jacuzzi was moldy around the nozzles (no recent bleach cleaning) and the wood work around the Jacuzzi looked unsafe (broken trim fixed poorly) the hot water in the downstairs bathroom didn't work (they secured it at the lower valve.a simple washer could have fixed the leaking problem) there was a missing light bulb in this bathroom (shower in the dark) the downstairs DVD player was in black and white (couldn't figure this out) and the upstairs TV was connected to a DVD player only.no Direct TV. ![]() But you'd expect the condition of the cabin to match the price paid. As you can imagine, Thanksgiving prices are quite high. Cons - Well, we face our first significant con this year, and that was the condition of this year's cabin (Hooks Haven #2). Another pro is how friendly the staff at the office are, and how helpful they can be. And for the most part, the cabins are quite nice (last year was very nice). The area and mountain upon which the Brother's Cove rests is beautiful. Each of our luxury Brother's Cove cabins is equipped with a hot tub and has access to a seasonal pool and lodge. Pros - Brother's Cove is convenient to Pigeon Forge and all the fun tourist activities, but is far enough away to feel a bit secluded. Brother's Cove is a secluded, yet reachable, mountain resort community with access to the Great Smoky Mountains and all the entertainment in Pigeon Forge, Sevierville, and Gatlinburg. We've enjoyed both stays, but thought it necessary to share some pros and cons, specifically regarding our cabin's condition. ![]() This was our 2nd year visiting Brother's Cove.
